I have been following Wuthering Waves since its launch, and I can honestly say that Version 3.1 is one of the most exciting updates Kuro Games has delivered. The update went live on February 5, 2026, and it brought two brand-new 5-star resonators, a fresh explorable area, new echoes, and a long list of quality-of-life improvements. But for me, the real headline is the banner schedule. If you are planning your pulls or simply want to understand how the 3.1 cycle was structured, here is my full breakdown of the Wuthering Waves 3.1 banners.

In Short

• Wuthering Waves 3.1 launched on February 5, 2026.

• Two new 5-star resonators debuted: Aemeath and Luuk Herssen.

• Aemeath headlined Phase 1, while Luuk Herssen arrived in Phase 2.

• Chisa, Lupa, and Galbrena returned as 5-star reruns.

• The 4-star resonator lineup was not revealed in the initial banner announcement.

• Signature weapons for all featured 5-stars ran alongside their respective character banners.

Release Date and Time

Wuthering Waves 3.1 released on February 5, 2026. For me, that date was circled on my calendar for weeks. Kuro Games usually splits major updates into two phases, and 3.1 followed that pattern. Each phase lasted roughly three weeks, giving players enough time to save Astrite, test teams, and decide whether to chase a new resonator or a rerun.

Phase 1 Banners

Phase 1 was all about Aemeath, the first new 5-star of the update. She shared the spotlight with two popular reruns: Chisa and Lupa. As a player who values both fresh kits and proven favorites, I found this phase incredibly tempting. Aemeath offered the excitement of a brand-new playstyle, while Chisa and Lupa gave newer players a chance to catch up on strong roster options.

Phase 2 Banners

Phase 2 introduced Luuk Herssen, the second new 5-star resonator. He was joined by Galbrena, a rerun that many players had been waiting for. I know several friends who skipped Phase 1 entirely just to guarantee Luuk Herssen, and I completely understood why. New characters often reshape team compositions, and Luuk Herssen was no exception. Galbrena, meanwhile, remained a strong option for anyone who missed her previous banner.

Weapon Banners and Pull Planning

The weapon banner followed the same two-phase structure. Every featured 5-star resonator had their signature weapon available during their respective phase. For me, this is always the hardest part of any Wuthering Waves update. A new resonator can transform your account, but their signature weapon often pushes their performance to another level. I usually ask myself three questions before pulling:

1. Does this character fill a gap in my roster?

2. Do I already own a strong alternative weapon?

3. Can I still guarantee my next most-wanted character?

If the answer to the first question is yes and the second is no, I consider the weapon banner. Otherwise, I save. In 3.1, Aemeath and Luuk Herssen both felt like account-defining additions, so I prioritized their character banners before even glancing at weapons.

Why 3.1 Mattered Beyond Banners

The banners were only one part of the 3.1 puzzle. The update also added a new area to explore, new echoes to farm, and additional content that kept the endgame fresh. I spent hours simply running around the new zone, collecting resources and testing movement tech. The new echoes also opened up interesting build possibilities, especially for players who enjoy min-maxing their teams. Kuro Games has a habit of pairing major story beats with meaningful exploration, and 3.1 continued that trend.

My Final Pull Advice

If you are looking back at 3.1 or planning for a future rerun, here is my honest advice: prioritize the new resonators first. Aemeath and Luuk Herssen were the headline acts, and their banners defined the update. Chisa, Lupa, and Galbrena were excellent reruns, but they were best treated as secondary targets unless you already had a clear team for them. The 4-star lineup was not revealed at the time of the initial announcement, so many players waited for the full details before committing. That patience usually pays off.

Wuthering Waves 3.1 was a massive moment for the game. Two new 5-stars, three strong reruns, signature weapons, a new area, and new echoes made it one of the most packed updates of 2026. As a first-person account from someone who plays daily, I can say that the banner schedule was generous but still demanding. Save your Astrite, set your priorities, and may your 50/50s go your way. 🎮✨

Budgeting for gacha is really just one part of a wider gaming budget. When I'm not saving Astrite, I still want to play other PC titles without paying full price, so I keep a shortlist of trusted deal sites and check them before every major sale. That habit has saved me more than a few dollars over the years, and it makes update season feel less like a financial squeeze.

One site I've been using for that is DealNest, which tracks PC game discounts across a range of storefronts. It's handy if you want to stretch your gaming budget between major updates or find something new to play while you wait for your next favorite banner. You can browse their current PC game discounts to see what's on offer.
